About Gourmet Gifts International

Since 1956, the Kniveton family have provided Gift delivery services across the English-speaking world.

From a youthful start, John Kniveton started producing Gourmet Gifts and Hampers (mostly at Christmas in those days) in the city of Liverpool from a factory above what was to become the famous Cavern Club where the Beatles, Cilla Black, Gerry-and-the-Pacemakers and many other successful groups were to achieve fame. While the Hampers were being assembled, the old building reverberated with the pulsating rhythms from below.

In those fifty years the business has grown to be an international organisation with offices and depots throughout the English-speaking world. Over 1.3 million Gifts have been ordered usually for delivery to another distant country.

From an early date, Gifts-to-Britain became an essential service for many of the expatriate families which took advantage of work opportunities in far-away lands. Their homeland was recovering from the austerity years of the second world war and welcomed the range of Gifts which could be distributed “across the oceans of the world”.

Today, Gourmet Gifts International maintains that service throughout the year, not just to maintain contacts between relatives from those far-off days, but for the huge numbers who travel, reside or work in far flung places and who want to maintain close contacts.

With offices and depots in each country where we distribute, we provide extensive choice of a far ranging list of Gifts from our famous Traditional Hampers, our sumptuous Gourmet Gifts, Fruit Baskets, Wine and Champagne presentations, Floral Bouquets and much more.

Half a century on... we are proud that the company is still in family hands, and we assure customers past and present of our commitment always to maintain a most efficient, speedy and pleasurable service.
